My Kids Electric Car Motors Are Not Working Properly

Check out our handy tips if you’re experiencing motor issues with your ride on.

“My kids electric car moves in the opposite direction!”

Some of our ride on cars come with twin motors in either 6v or 12v versions. A common issue when setting these up is finding that your car works in the opposite way it should (reverses in forwards mode etc).

These motors can sometimes arrive unlabelled so if you’re experiencing this opposite effect please switch the motors around. You should find this solves your problem. If you are still experiencing issues this may be down to incorrect wiring on the motor itself. Please contact us if you believe this to be the case.

“My kids ride on is moving very slowly.”

If your kids car is running very slowly after charging, please make sure you have charged the car for the required time mentioned in the instruction manual. This is usually 8-12 hours depending on the model.

Please also check if your charger is getting warm after 3-4 hours of charging. If not you may need a replacement charger as your car won’t be receiving the correct amount of charge to fully power the motors.
